Sasha
Sasha arrived at Ippoasi thanks to the same activist who brought Ursus. He was very small when he arrived but he could assert himself easily. He actually started to chase after everyone, showing right away his very strong character. He now owns the title of “most feared inhabitant of Ippoasi” as his favourite pastime is to try to bite the legs of the volunteers.

Anastasia
Anastasia arrived at the shelter together with the deceased Rebecca. She soon became very close to Sasha, who did not lose sight of her for any moment. She also became very attached to big Ursus. In the evening they go to sleep together, like a little family!

Fierobecco
Fierobecco is a swan-like goose who loves to sing loudly. He was literally thrown into our arms by the person who wanted to get rid of him and threatened to kill him if we didn’t take him. We noticed almost immediately with great horror that he lacks the upper part of the beak, most certainly due to the violence to which he was subjected. He settled in well in his new home, getting along with the roosters and hens, but his favorite company are Sorti and Dilì!

Sorti & Dilì were rescued by a sensitive person who took them to the shelter, where they can finally lead a life of great food, dive into the pool and hang out in the chicken coop! The two never separate and always run around together!

This lovely group of ducks has been saved from an unfortunate destiny and has found a home at Ippoasi. The are all completely white and always together. we decided to give them all names that start with “O”. They are very curious and greedy for fresh salad!

Ovidio
Ovidio arrived ad the beginning of 2019 from Como. He had a good life but unfortunately was always alone. To allow him a more social and duck-appropriate life he moved in at Ippoasi where he is now part of the “O”-gang!

Victoria
Victoria probably escaped from an abusive farm and luckily landed in the garden of the person who would immediately take her to Ippoasi. Soon after her arrival she met her new best friend Ellen: they are always together!

Ellen showed up in front of the house of two activist from Empoli, probably escaping from horrible circumstances. When she arrived she showed everyone who’s the boss, even Sasha didn’t understand anymore what was happening. She became best friends with Victoria, they’re always together.

Paperoga was found on the highway, wandering around alone. When he was brought to Ippoasi we noticed immediately that his wings were cut and that he probably escaped from a duck farm. He has now found his forever home at Ippoasi.
