Lolita’s story

Lolita arrived at the sanctuary with the pony Lola. Together with the goat Lolito and their son Lollo, Lolita shared a small enclosure with Lola at the place where the pony was working. It is quite common that goats are used to keep company for the most stressed horses. They are a kind of surrogate for other horses. At the sanctuary she gave birth for the last time (she was pregnant when she arrived). Two wonderful creatures were born: Lele and Lula. With all of her babies she has been a great mom and there was no kind of intervention needed: neither for giving birth or for nursing. She loves rubbing her head against the legs of human persons!
